Hours of Fun has embarked on an exciting journey into the world of crafts, workshops, cakes and handmade bespoke goods.

Since a young age I have enjoyed making things, however it was not until I was 21 that I started making cards for friends and family and I suddenly realised I would never be able to buy a card again!  Since then I have explored paper crafts, knitting, sewing and needle work, mosaic, upcycling, furniture restoration and much more.  In 2014 I handed my notice in at my full time job and found a part time job.  For 2 days I type and the rest of the week I follow my dream and in simple terms I get to play with glue, felt, glitter and paper for work!

For the last 3 years Hours of Fun have been working with The Festival of Firsts, a Wirral based festival.  As the lead on children’s craft activities for the festival I have worked with The Williamson Art Gallery, Kaleidoscope Magazine, local schools, church groups, Sea Cadets and run drop in craft sessions as part of the children’s participation programme.

I am a Company Director for The Kaleidoscope Magazine.  A fantastic creative writing magazine providing an opportunity for children and young people to get their work published in print.

As an individual I also volunteer for Free Cakes for Kids Liverpool, working as part of a team managing referrals, volunteers and social media.  It is a fantastic organisation providing cakes to children who wouldn’t normally get one.  The organisation is made up of volunteers who give their time and baking skills to support it.  If you fancy getting involved as a baker get in touch, or if you have any cake equipment and supplies to donate we would love to hear from you.

The journey started with craft fairs around the North West of England selling craft supplies and handmade goods back in 2011, just for fun.  I now offer workshops, craft activities for parties, wedding stationary and much more.

After completing a college course in cake decorating I fell in love with the world of cakes.  I love baking them, decorating them, eating them and sharing them!
